José Carlos Cruzata Revé is a Cuban saxophonist, born in 1984 in the city of Holguín, Cuba. He moved to Havana with his family when he was 15 to continue studying music at the National Art School (ENA). After graduating he played in various jazz projects, big band orchestras and salsa groups in Havana. In 2011 he moved to Spain where he lived for three years and then in 2014 he moved to New York.

He has played with Spanish flamenco dancer Joaquin Cortez, New York bandleader Henry Fiol, Cuban pianist and songwriter Chucho Valdes, Brasilian singer Ivan Lins, Madrid-based Afro-Cuban funk group Color Out, New York-based group Damian Quiñones y su Conjunto, and tap and live music show Music from the Sole by Greg Richardson and Leo Sandoval.
